This Month's Events Picks include: Live oringinal nightclub music at the Sarah Street Grill in Stroudsburg. The first annual Winter Lights/Celebration of the Arts will take place in the charming town of Milford.  The town will be aglow with an unparalleled ice and light art installation, ice skating, ice dancing, music, film, theater, and magic. The Nature Valley NASTAR race series is back every Saturday and Sunday at Shawnee Ski Mountain for another exciting ski season. Environmental Educator Brian Hardiman will lead four field trips to the upper Delaware River in search of resident and wintering bald eagles.

The Deer Head Inn, Home of Jazz in the Pocono Mountains is situated in historic Delaware Water Gap, PA. The Inn is on the corner of Main St. (PA 611) and Mountain Road, 5 minutes from Route 80. The Jazz Club is the oldest, longest contineously operated Jazz club in the Country. The Inn is a hotel with a restaurant, bar and jazz club. The main building was constructed between 1853 and 1865. It is a Victorian style building with two stories of wrap around porches. Adjacent to the Inn, is the Appalachian Trail surrounded by the picturesque Delaware Water Gap National Park.

21st Annual Chili Cook-Off

Live country music by Dr. Moranville and the County Line Band.  The cook-off benefits the local volunteer ambulance company. Spring Tube Fest

March is the time to begin to think about the return of warm temperatures and opening the golf course. As one of the last weekends to snow tube, receive $5 off of snow tubing tickets to anyone dressed in resort wear costumes including bathing suits and Hawaiian outfits. There will be live entertainment, luau themed activities including hula competitions, limbo, snow play and prize giveaways from co-sponsor Pepsi.  Contests like limbo, snowball toss and a great outdoor barbecue to sit by the fire and think of summer while eating corn on the cob. Annual Pocono Mountains Run for the Red Marathon

The Pocono Mountains hosts runners for a 26.2 mile race through Monroe County.  The top finishing male and female each receive a cash prize of $2,000.  This year a Marathon Relay will allow 2-person teams the opportunity of splitting the 26.2 mile distance, each running 13.1 miles. Runners have three choices; they can run the full marathon, a 5K Road Race or they can team up with another person and take part in the Marathon Relay. Registration is $20/5K Road Race, $50/Marathon Race and $65/Marathon until April 24, 2009.

Annual Audubon Festival

Crafts exhibitors and artists from 13 states and Canada will be demonstrating and selling their unique and original work.  Pottery, woodworking, fine glass work, woodcarving, leather carving, sheepskin, wheat weaving and metalworking.  Face painting, a puppet show, balloon sculpture and Highlights Magazine children's nature book sale will assure a great day for your children.  The Delaware Valley Raptor Center will have live birds of prey on display and the Lacawac Sanctuary will have their "Little Bear in the Woods" nature store with unique and interesting items for sale.  The Northeast PA Audubon Society will have an education table with free items for the family and a program on the NAS Forest Campaign.  The festival will be held from 10am-5pm daily at the Wallenpaupack School Complex.  Admission to the festival is $4 per person, children 12 and under are free.

Great Brews Of America: Classic Beer Festival

The Great Brews of America Beerfest will feature close to 30 of America's finest classic and micro-breweries offering tastes of their latest brews and will be held in just two rooms this year instead of three.
